Okay, okay…I cheated on this one.

I did not free-hand the design…

I used Sally Hansen’s Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips!

But before I jump into that…the blue color is Ulta’s “Mint Condition”. It’s a really creamy blue with a hint of green. I think it’s one of those colors that would transition beautifully from winter to spring!

Now, onto the story of the nail strips.

I have resisted buying these things ever since they were released.

And trust me, I’ve been tempted plenty of times!

I guess I just couldn’t bring myself to pay $10 for something that I could only use once.

But yesterday I went to Ulta, 20% off coupon in hand, ready to find some new nail polish. Which, by the way, I got a killer deal on some China Glaze Crackle polishes which I’ll probably have up in the next week or so.

Anyway…I was just browsing the nail polish section and was getting ready to go check out when I decided to look for some Maybelline products…one thing led to another and I ended up finding the separate section for Sally Hansen stuff.

And I saw these nail strips. They’re “Love Letter”…

And I died.

They’re just so gorgeous!

So, I decided to just bite the bullet and buy them. Plus, I had my coupon so I got ‘em for only $8!

And I love them.

And they’ll be perfect for Valentine’s Day…

Would you guys hate me if I did a re-post then? ;)

One note about the nail strips though…

If you guys haven’t tried them before and decide to, don’t get discouraged if they don’t come out perfect the first time!

I bought them and was like “Eh, this’ll be easy!”

Not.

It’s sort of tricky to stretch them & make sure there are no wrinkles, etc…

So just remember, they put extras in there for a reason ;)
